    gosip seputar pengganti 1ZZ-FE

    mesin 1800 cc baru untuk corolla terbaru

    The upcoming replacement for the Toyota Corolla Altis here in Malaysia might see the introduction of a CVT transmission, thanks to a new pair of engine and transmission announced last month by Toyota as part of it’s efforts to revamp it’s gasoline engine and transmission line-up by the year 2010.

    The new engine is the 1.8 liter 2ZR-FE, which replaces the 1ZZ-FE in Toyota’s line-up. The 2ZR-FE has a few enhancements over the 1ZZ-FE found in our current Toyota Corolla Altis. For one, the new 2ZR-FE has Dual VVT-i which varies valve timing optimally for various engine speeds and loads on both the intake and exhaust valves. The previous 1ZZ-FE only has variable valve timing on the exhaust valves. Maximum torque has increased from 170Nm at 4,200 rpm to 175Nm at 4,400 rpm. Horsepower has increased from 132hp at 6,000 rpm to 136hp at 6,600 rpm. Fuel efficiency is supposed to be 5% higher compared to conventional engines.

    FYI : 1ZZ-FE di jepang hanya 132 hp (di indo NET nya 136 hp) karena adanya regulasi emisi. jadi 2ZR-FE dual VVT-i di indo sepertinya dapat menembus 140 hp NET. mesin ini untuk menyaingi R18A civic (140 hp)

    ini yg gw demen......... dari taon 90-an, perseteruan Civic vs Corolla terus berlanjut sampe sekarang. 4A-FE sempat keok ama D16 (jaman-nya all new corolla & ferio), tapi D17 dihajar ama 1ZZ-FE (jaman-nya civic vt-i & altis)....... 1ZZ-FE keok ama R18A sejak all new civic di-launching...... nah sekarang altis mau ganti mesin 1ZR-FE (tapi "bajunya" belum ketauan & gw harap altis baru juga ganti "baju" yg lebih bagus), so perseteruan dimulai lagi :

    1ZR-FE 1800 cc Dual VVT-i 140 dk

    vs

    R18A 1800 cc SOHC i-VTEC 140 dk

    4A-FE keok ama D16A ? gak juga tuh bos.. liat aja torsinya D16A melempem gitu... 14.8 kgm @ 5500 rpm vs 15 kgm @ 4800 kgm - no offense -

    untuk 2ZR-FE sih blom tau hp nya yg buat pasar luar jepang brp
