    Apa sih arti JWL dan JWL+R di velg Jepang ???

    Hello Sesepuh-sesepuh Mod.Com.. Buat temen-temen yang sering gonta ganti velg Jepang atau yang ngakunya addict banget sama velg Jepang.. Ane punya beberapa pertanyaan nih yang berkaitan seputar velg Jepang.. Nah buat yang punya pengetahuan lebih.. Boleh dong sharing di Thread Ane nih ??

    Sebenernya apa sih arti JWL di velg Jepang ???

    IMHO ya coba jawab
    JWL = Japan Light Alloywheel alias standarisasi keselamatan utk mobil penumpang dari sisi velg.
    Kl yg JWL +R itu standarisasi yg lebih tinggi dari JWL nya sndiri. Dibagi 2 : biru utk spec 1 dan merah utk spec 2.
    Spec 1 utk velg casting dan spec 2 utk velg forged.

    Tujuannya di bikin Thread ini buat kita semua pada Sharing seputar JWL-JWLan.. Biar warga mod.com nambah pengetahuanya.. Otomatis lebih banyak pengetahuan jadi gak asal dong pilih barang ?     VIA: Vehicle Inspection Association. In europe a similar association is called TÜV (Technischer Überwachungs-Verein or in English: Technical Inspection Association) iirc they are more stringent in their tests than the VIA but this is debatable..
    JWL: Japan Light Alloy Wheel
    JWL-T: Japan Light Alloy Wheel for truck and bus

    To carry a VIA, JWL or JWL-T stamp on the wheel, the manufacturer must be a member of JAWA (Japan Alloy Light Wheel Association). Dont be mistaken with JAWA as in Java island

    The idea of establishing JAWA are to:
    (1) In order to maintain safety standards. So, Quality Control (QC) always di maintain at the highest standard.
    (2) To establish the order of wheel design in our industry, promotes Voluntary Wheel Design Protection Registration System yg artinya inline and along the line in supporting intellectual property. no copy copy lah
    (3) is also lending its support to the efforts to find solutions to material recycling system. So promoting recycle or in other words, green manufacturing process.

    Bottom line is pake wheels yg asli pasti mahal vs pake wheels replicas. Kenapa? Ada associated research and development yang musti dibayar. So it comes down to ada duit ada barang. Masalah harga, banyak koq toko velg yang kasih harga ngga gorok leher; yg penting reasearch dulu tanya tanya dulu shop around dulu banding banding dulu. Bottom line is jgn mau didesek sama sales yg dijekar setoran at the expense customers

    Nah untuk yg ride on replica wheels and proudly saying: ga apa koq, aman koq udah tahunan ga apa, ya kita lihat just exactly how durable your wheels are. Bukan masalah retak or ngga nya ya, still balance or not, still true (well rounded) or not. And biasanya this kind of argument di follow dengan: dulu pake yg asli juga pecah hajar lobang. Lha ya iya pasti pecah hajar lobang but yg asli ngga langsung pecah karena factors: tapi tergantung speed, tekanan angin, beban mobil, etc etc etc. in short, original wheels are significantly more durable than the replicas. Makanya highly recommend kalo limited budget, mending cari bekas tapi ori. Or kalo masih belum bisa mendingan rock the stock dulu aja nanti kalo duit udah cukup baru beli ori (either brand new or used)
