I'll try to keep this short and simple.. Here are a couple of pics.. not sure if I have lots of pics on my coilover kit but I'll post whatever I have..
Length of use: 6 months of combined driving between city drive and highway at around 70% city and 30% highway...
Fronts
Rears
The good:
- Excellent Tein Japan customer service. I can attest to this based on my experience
- Tein has a service and rebuilt (and custom) facility in Bangkok, Thailand
- Direct bolt on if you have all the top mount/top hats parts ready
- Fit and finish are top notch! Ada duit ada barang
- Tein product reputation
- Height and dampening adjustable are simple to adjust
- A direct compatible with Tein Electonically Dampening Force Control (EDFC). Plug and Play
- Follow all torque specifications as stated on the installation manual. For serious, follow them all to the T
- This Street Advance coilover aim toward city driving and comfort NOT for a track use. If you want a track ready then get the monotube instead...
The bad:
- Must either a) reuse the old top mount/top hats or b) buy a new set of top mount/top hats
- If you choose option b from above, then you might as well get the Street Flex instead. Dont make the same silly mistake as I did
- The instructions are written in Japan
- Too soft for some liking but I'm ok with it as I do not intend to track my car anyhow
The ugly:
- Silly mistake I made by getting a set of new top mount/top hats. I thought their price should still be less than the Street Flex but, boy, was I wrong... Seriously, get a Street Flex instead if you are getting a set of new top mount/top hats
- Price. Again, aftermarket parts prices here in Indonesia are silly. Not silly haha funny type but silly as should be shacked up in a waco basket type of silly. 10% to 15% less is more reasonable to be fair..
The verdict:
- For street use and comfort this stuff is good for serious.
- Get the real deal. Save up and rock stock if you cannot afford one at the moment. Your life along with your family's life are worth more than what you spent or what you are going to spend, on the knock offs or some no name coilovers..
