    Hi all... just thought i start a thread for my engine swap project.

    let's start. korbannya gw 1991 Honda Civic (ETi as i've been told) EG4. semua standar. mesin D15B SOHC VTEC-E 5spd manual. leaking some oil and some gearbox oil. everything else is cool. 13" hubcaps and interior with black re-trimmed black 'gorilla skin' type fabric... lol, so fluffy. but its good.

    Body
    Dari yg gw tau, cukup bagus. fender kanan depan (driver side) sempat ditabrak pelan, tp ganti fender. pintu kiri (passenger side) dibawah skitar kunci, ada tanda kalau pernah di dempul. but that's not major, i can live with it, although in the future, i might looking at new pair of doors. kaca spion luar sebelah kanan, fungsi elektronik cuma bekerja utk gerak kiri/kanan. gerak atas/bawah tdk berfungsi (ato malah sebaliknya? gw ga inget pokoknya salah satu).

    satu hal yg cukup menarik perhatian gw, adl bumper. bbrp minggu stl gw bli ini mobil, gw copotin bumpernya, sekedar mau liat apa yg ada dibaliknya. sometimes u might find some interesting stuff in there. and guess what i found~!! bagian sebelah kiri (passenger side) sudah retak, dan perbaikan yg dilakukan hanya sekedar exterior. dari luar mulus, tp kalo dibalik, diliat dr dalam, kelihatan banget retaknya. so, new bumper is my next thing on the list.

    Engine & running gears
    Kondisi cukup bagus, meskipun sempet takut juga. soalnya sudah 220,xxxkms wkt gw beli... dan sampe skr g udah clock another 3xxxkms. mesinnya D15B SOHC VTEC-E. manufacturer quote kalo peak power output adl 92hp. angka ini cukup kecil, bandingkan dgn D15B twin-carb di sekitar 110hp (koreksi??). tapi, dgn fuel economy yg gila2an, dlm arti super-duper-hemat-ga-ketulungan, my personal best is 18km/L, membuat mesin ini cukup nyaman dikendarain. harga bensin naek ga kira2.

    bbrp hal, ada kebocoran oli mesin. gw blom periksa, tp rasa2nya di sekitar oil-sump seal. i'll check that later.

    hal lain yg bocor adalah gearbox oil. di garasi gw ada 2 tetesan oli, yg pertama berwarna hitam/kecoklatan, pertanda oli mesin dan yg kedua adl bening, cenderung kuning bersih, pertanda oli transmisi (manual). haven't repair any of those problem, but i might top up the manual transmission oil tomorrow with 10W/30 grade oil as recommended with honda workshop manual.

    Suspension
    well, utk bagian ini, gw ga bisa kasih komen byk2. yg g tau suspensi semua masih bawaan pabrik dan sudah cenderung keras. ban cuma ada 2 yg roadworthy, gw taro di depan. 2 yg laennya sudah di garis batas, harus cari ban 2nd nih, blom ada dapet pelek baru. oya, peleknya 13" steelies with hubcaps. so, nothing special to note on that.

    B18C-R swap
    EG6 Civic SiR hub/all-disc swap
    EG6 Civic SiR master cylinder & brake booster (or DC2 Integra SiR master cylinder or Honda Legend 1" master cylinder & brake booster)
    EG6 Civic SiR rear trailing arm swap (with new trailing arms' bushing)
    EG6 Civic SiR (or DC2 Integra SiR or Type-R) fuel pump
    Custom 2.25" exhaust system with Mugen Twin-Loop muffler
    DC2 Integra SiR OEM alloy wheels
    Braided-hosing all hydraulic systems

    K20A Integra/Civic Type-R conversion with supercharger kit

    thats my dream so far.... ahhaha.

    kalo disini ada yg spesialis honda, bisa kasih masukan apa aja. for the time being, i just wanna keep everything as reasonable as possible. dont tell me to put high end stereo in her... cos i definitely wont upgrade my stereo system. hahaha.

    any supportive comments and critiques are highly expected. dont ask me about my budget... project will go to the next level (or parts) as budget permits me.

    gw tdk tahu honda, tapi looks like performance bagus juga B18C but gw baca yg paling heboh civic pake K20 warna merah. Itu kencang juga 450HP kayaknya (lupa gw)...

    well, its possible doing K20A type-r swap, but it involve quite a major work in it. plus, basic cost-nya mahal. mesinnya doang (engine kit-nya doang bisa nz$6000an... plus GST 12.5%). mesti cari custom engine mounts (hassport usa), kl ga ada yg stock, musti order lgs dr us, could set me back at least $700ish on top of it. trus major fabrication needed to make room for the gearbox shifter... plus its cable-shifter.

    well.. buat kondisi gw sih, i'd prefer B18C-R for the sake of simplicity and generalisms. haha.

    hehe... not very soon kok. still need to find lots of things and arrange plenty of things... hehhe. while u'r here, pinjem lo punya torque-wrench yah... hehehe. pengen cari torque-wrench snap-on, brp duit ya??? kl ga lebi dr $500, g rencana mo bli. hehehe.

    gw masi di n/shore kok. dont worry, i'll be here for quite a long time. heheheh. ill let u kno when i begin my project. hehehe..

    gue bukan nya spesialis cuman gue sangat familiar dengan honda terutama B-series dan K-series engine..
    so far "things to do" loe punya looking good...
    cuman gue pengen tau yg loe maksud swap engine adalah complete engine+tranny=ECU bukan?
